They can't do much worse to be honest!

But I don't think they'll do it...they're not that good really!

You can't necessarily say because Leicester were mediocre this season that they'll be mediocre again next season.

You have a good manager, and are sure to buy some new players before next season. smile.gif

You're welcome to do well in the Championship as long as you don't beat Leicester tongue.gif

So you don't mind Nicki if Charlton win promotion getting all the remaining 122 points as long as we get nothing from Leicester? laugh.gif

As long as Leicester stay up, then nope tongue.gif

I think Leicester will have a better time of it in 2007/8 than they did this season just gone.

But then this is from the forumite who confidently predicted Leeds would be promoted this season.

Oh dear.......

Well, you were half-right about Leeds. They certainly aren't playing in the same division next season....

I didn't think we had any money...

I currently think its safer to ask how the "canaries" are doing in Norwich (not normally a conversation that is greeted with a smile) than to mention Football anywhere Elland Road.

Sorry Barry, but as a life-long Spurs supporter, I was hoping the Charlton match would go the way it did.
fsharpminor
I will look forward to Tranmere (nearest team to where I live) beating Leeds (where my office is) next season. But my heart is with Liverpool
Car Expert
I hope Leyton Orient beat Leeds next season, like when they beat Forest at the City Ground this season.

Or even Lewes if they reach the first round again and meet them in the FA Cup IPB Image

Blackburn drew - they can't overtake us woot.gif (unless they beat us by 4 goals...)

We only need to draw and hope Bolton and Portsmouth both lose to qualify for Europe!

Car Expert
nicki_flute
What happens if you win?
Car Expert
We'll qualify as long as Bolton or Tottenham lose to Aston Villa or Man City respectively.

We're only 1 point behind Bolton, but our goal difference is far superior to their's, so a draw could be enough, as long as other results go our way.

And we've got a slightly better goal difference than Tottenham, despite being 3 points behind them.

Bah, I wish I could be worried about the permutations of UEFA cup qualification - but being a Colchester supporter I suspect it won't be a great concern for the next ten thousand trillion millennia or so...

Colchester? Well, your team weren't a million miles away from the play-offs this season....

AND.......you get to play Charlton in 2007/8. You feel better now, don't you.... laugh.gif

There are all sorts of twists and turns for European places and relegation. As it stands, Sheffield United are going down ohmy.gif

And Bolton will be in Europe as they and Reading are drawing *hopes Villa score* unsure.gif

Surprising Charlton managed to score at Anfield of all places, and at the wrong time of the season...rolleyes.gif

Still, Reading can take credit that they've managed to score 3 times at Anfield this season in the Carling Cup, which is half the amount Liverpool have conceded at home in the Premiership all season!

I'm exhausted. We were watching Sheff Utd v Wigan, and willing Wigan to hold on with ten men. I feel sorry for Sheffield Utd, though. They looked certain to stay up a little while ago.

I wanted Villa to win, but I can't complain with 8th position smile.gif

It's a shame Sheffield United have gone down... I think Rob Hulse's injury at Chelsea has cost them. But I think them and Charlton can bounce back.

Just found these Barry. Good job we don't bet for money, eh? biggrin.gif

Boo's Prediction:
QUOTE
Have we had season predictions yet? I reckon:

Prem:
Champions - Chelsea
Runners-up - Arsenal
3rd place - Liverpool

18) Wigan
19) Sheff U
20) Watford

Championship:
1) Crystal Palace
2) West Brom
Play-off winner: Southampton

22) Coventry
23) Colchester
24) Southend

Barry's Prediction:
QUOTE

I did a similar post earlier, but I'll put my predictions in a slightly better form here.

Premiership : 1. Chelsea, 2. Arsenal, 3. Liverpool, 4. Manchester United

18. Manchester City, 19. Middlesbrough, 20. Sheffield United (Aston Villa should be OK I feel with O'Neill as manager, Everton I think will just survive).

Championship : 1. Crystal Palace, 2. Leeds United, Plymouth Argyle up through play offs.

22. Sheffield Wednesday, 23. QPR, 24. Colchester United.

My predictions for those teams that will go up to the Premiership: I think Leeds should do it, and I have a feeling Preston and Wolves could also join them. As for relegation from the Premiership, I'll say Watford, Aston Villa and Sheffield United will go down.

I'm going to try out my luck and say that Leyton Orient will follow Southend into the Championship. smile.gif
Most of my predictions were very inaccurate laugh.gif! I got two of the three relegated teams correct, though.

Jewell and Pearce have been sacked ohmy.gif

Forest v Leeds in League 1 next season it would seem so far...

Suppose it will be good for those non-league teams who get to the 1st round of the FA Cup. Two chances to draw a former big European team.

Am I right in thinking there are three footballers called Robbie Williams?

There's one who scored for Blackpool in the play-off final against Yeovil, there's one who plays for Accrington Stanley, and another who plays for Welsh non-league side Colwyn Bay I think.

Why do I get a feeling Charlton'll get Leicester City in their first match? Let's see....
