Looks like an era is about to end at Arsenal, with Thierry Henry's likely and imminent departure to Barcelona...

I now have two superfluous Thierry Henry calendars.

Henry was injured for much of last season, and I do wonder if Arsenal have had the best years of Henry's career. There's plenty of potentially good players still at Arsenal, and long term, this may be seen as good business for them.

Charlton have lost a shedload of money as a result of relegation. I'd like to think we'll go straight back up again this coming season, but my gut feeling says that we'll have to fight all the way. Wolves, West Brom, Watford, Sheffield Utd, Preston, Leicester, Cardiff, Stoke and Southampton at least all have a good chance of promotion too I think...

That is so sad. The women's team were very good (not quite as good as Arsenal Ladies, but with their results last season no-one was ).

I reckon Sheffield Wednesday will have a good chance of promotion too.

Seeing as my guesses for promotion/relegation were so accurate last time (or not... ), I'll have another go this season at guessing the winners and losers...

Premiership : 1. Chelsea, 2. Manchester United, 3. Liverpool, 4. Tottenham
18. Wigan, 19. Fulham, 20. Derby County

Championship : Promotion : Watford, Leicester, Southampton (my heart says Charlton of course, my head's not quite so sure...)

Relegation : Bristol City, Barnsley, Blackpool.

Let's see how far out I get with that lot of predictions this season!

Leicester are never ever ever going to get promoted.

I think Southampton may not do as well as last season, especially with the sacking of their chairman, but they should challenge for promotion.
