That's not good for Boro, but you'll still only be 2 points off safety. There's still time for you.

I know, but we're losing 4-0 at the moment and it will seriously scupper our goal difference (which admittedly was pretty dire already).

I'm still hoping that permier league survival will be possible - but I may be being rather too optimistc. We need to other results go our way as well as winning our own games.

I think Boro have a good chance of staying up. You'd be looking to get as many points as possible from the next 5 games (possibly 6 if Arsenal continue dropping points at home). There's a derby at Newcastle and a home game against Aston Villa, who of course are going for that 4th place. The last game of the season is at West Ham. Considering the home side will probably have nothing to play for, and your recent FA Cup performance at Upton Park will suggest that's another winnable game.

Hull have just got a last minute winner at Fulham...

Well, in response to your question, this is a UK-based forum (although international members are of course welcome ), so 'football' is what we call football and you call soccer. Not sure how many people on here know much about American football, but you could always start a thread on it and see - but you might want to specify what kind of football you're talking about (otherwise you'll get another thread discussing Boro, Charlton, Reading, Portsmouth, Tottenham etc.).

2-2 it ended. Late equaliser from Charlton, and really we should've won that game... a missed opportunity there as the teams around us all dropped points...
