Perhaps draws out of the Mags and West Ham - but that's only two points which simply isn't enough. We're more than two points adrift...

The sad thing about Middlesbrough is they do so much right. They stick by a manager, encourage youth players into their team, and they seem to have a decent attitude and a family atmosphere, much like Charlton in fact.

Darn it! Lost a tenner to a colleague as Leeds beat Tranmere 3-1. Still it's just the tenner I won earlier in the season. We're quits over 2 seasons now . Tranmere will be hard pressed to make the play-offs now

I know, but our remaining fixtures aren't good - Newcastle's are slightly better and they're at home for the match against us.

I've discovered that I have a slightly mean streak that is thinking that if we get relegated (which is looking highly likely at the moment!) I'd actually be quite pleased to take the mags down with us. Of course it would be even better if they were relegated instead of us, but the only other teams who are looking vulnerable (Hull and Blackburn) have much better run-ins then we do - so we're pretty much gone I'm affraid.

I did have a look at Boro's away form in the list of fixtures in the paper this morning.

The Tyne-Tees derby usually ends in a draw, but draws aren't any good at this point. We need at least 2 wins and draw from our remaining matches - and even then we'd be depending on Hull or Blackburn picking up no more than 3 points and Newcastle picking up no more than us.

I'm not sure we can completely write off West Brom yet, either - they have quite a nice run-in with some winable games...
