In what competition? If you mean Premiership, Liverpool are higher.

Away goals rule has been in the League Cup for a few years. Essentially, after extra time, away goals count double, so in the Arsenal-Wigan tie, even though it was 2-2, one of Wigan's goals was scored away from home; none of Arsenal's were. --> Wigan *technically* won 3-2.

Why do Leicester have to lose in extra time after playing really well. After 85 minutes I think they give up, and end up losing half their games between 85-90 minutes!

Interesting draw for the next round.....

CE - I won't steal your job! You can put the list up biggrin.gif
Car Expert
I had a feeling that two of the top three teams would face each other in the FA Cup 5th round. And that is what has just happened. Liverpool has managed to be paired up with Manchester United. Now that will be interesting.

If Reading beat Birmingham, they will face a much easier test to Stoke, while Barry-clari's team will face mighty Brentford. Colchester are delighted with their draw, as they will face either Everton or Chelsea away from home.

In the other all-Premiership ties, Bolton will face West Ham, while Aston Villa will entertain Manchester City. Also, Newcastle will face Southampton, while either Preston or Crystal Palace (who will have to meet again tomorrow for their League game) will face either Coventry or Middlesbrough.

FA Cup draw
  1. Preston/Crystal Palace v Coventry/Middlesbrough smile.gif
  2. Newcastle v Southampton smile.gif
  3. Aston Villa v Manchester City biggrin.gif
  4. Everton/Chelsea v Colchester biggrin.gif
  5. Charlton v Brentford biggrin.gif

Sheffield Wednesday, Leyton Orient, them Brentford... Charlton's cup run gets steadily difficult. I'd like to say that this will be our year, but we've been giant-killed so often that I'd prefer to play another premiership team. Still, could be worse, it could be Colchester!!

In all honesty, is it that unforgiveable? Gillingham springs to mind...

Curbs would make a great England manager, they'd win all the first qualifying matches, but then they'd have to sack him before the rot sets in!!

Absolutely, it annoys me how there are suddenly so many more Chelsea fans now. They used to be my childhood pick-a-random-team-so-you-can-say-you-support-them team but I've given up on that now because their money situation is just crazy. Charlton are my favourite Prem team because I saw them play my team Plymouth about two years ago and it was a really good match, 2-2 in the end. smile.gif
