I know we've still got a ways to go, but who do people think will be this year's ups and downs?

I think the prem title is probably between Man U and Arsenal now.

West Ham seem to be good escape artists and keep avoiding the drop. I still think they should have gone down instead of the Blades the other year. Birmingham have the potential to do a Boro - cup final and relegation in the same year. Wolves, West Brom and Wigan all looking vulnerable and the last of these have a habit of nicking all our transfer targets (so not particularly well-loved on Teesside ). Wouldn't be surprised if either Everton or Villa end up going down on the last day as a big name relegation like the Barcodes did the season before last.

Champo - QPR would have to seriously fluff now to not go up. I'd like to see either Swansea or Cardiff go up. Cardiff have be so close so many times and have been consistent for number of seasons and I like the way Swansea play. The top end of the championship is rather too close to call. I hope Leeds don't go up.

PNE looking very vulnerable. They have started scoring now, but have a lot of turning things around to do. Everyone from Coventry down is still in danger and we are looking very, very vulnerable with a bad run of fixtures (and an apalling injury list).

League 1 - Brighton doing rather well. A lot of teams within a shout of the playoffs. At the other end I think Plymouth, sadly, are gone - if they still exist next season.

League 2 - Chesterfield would need to really mess up to not get one of the automatic promotion spots. I'd like to see Rotherham go up - they've done a lot of re-building from near extinction, and would have gone up the other year if they hadn't started the season on -30. Bottom end of the table is too close to call.

Blue Square Prem - I was hoping that Darlo would bounce back up, but they won't. The automatic promotion spot looks like it's probably between Crawley and Wimbledon. I think that MK Dons are now totally safe in League 1, so no chance of Wimbledon ending up in the same division as them - yet...

Difficult to see much beyond Man Utd for the title. Only Arsenal I feel can stop them, and I have a feeling they will fall away as the other contenders have already done.

Relegation : not at all sure. Wolves (sorry KatieS) look like they'll go. Two from a lot of teams to join them.



QPR and one other to go up. Don't think it'll be Leeds, maybe Cardiff or Forest?
Preston look like they've gone, I have a feeling Palace will also go. Third relegation spot could go to a number of sides.



Brighton look like promotion contenders. Southampton are in good form and have games in hand, so I think they may take the other automatic slot. Playoffs : lots in contention. Charlton : it's more hope than expectation that they'll be promoted.

Plymouth, and any three from Dagenham, Walsall, Bristol Rovers, Swindon, Yeovil to go down.



Chesterfield, and I think Wycombe will go up, third automatic could go to a number of sides. I think the two sides currently in the relegation slots will go (Barnet, Stockport). They're in woeful form, and are starting to get cut adrift.



Crawley look most likely to go up automatically, but Wimbledon are the best of the rest, I feel.
