Leyton Orient snatched a late winner to beat Peterborough - now we've got to hope Bournemouth lose...
Scunthorpe's failure to beat Coventry means that Boro are now safe from relegation. Scunthorpe are 9 points behind Boro with 3 games left, but with a far worse goal difference, so Boro realistically cannot be caught.

Tranmere still not quite safe , but pinched a good point late on at Hartlepool
My work colleagues in Leeds must be happy with a 0-0 at Reading, even though they've been overtaken in playoff places by Nottm Forest (whom I supported in my student days in mid 60's - good team they were then)

Almost. Preston can still catch, and overtake, us if they were to win all their remaining games and we get no more points.

I forgot about them. They would do well to beat Millwall today - Millwall need to win to keep their play-off hopes alive, so both teams will be going for it.
Reading drew 0-0 at Leeds last night. We just need 2 more points to secure a play-off place...

How many goals are we going to concede today? Mogga has picked a weird team.
Edit: losing already.

Maybes we need a wedding every week. Hope you've had a good day BB2.
I thought at half-time that stetenorve would be joining the party as well, but not yet. Hopefully Monday for you.
Blades haven't given up yet. Can they pull off a great escape...?

But then, as Charlton invariably do these days, we chuck it away be having two sent off (and they both deserved it), they pull back to 2-2, and we very nearly lose it in the last minute.
Charlton are just so, so poor at the moment, it's laughable.
Well done BB2/Flossie, more Championship football next season for you.

Sheff Utd did beat us. That ends our automatic promotion hopes, but our play-off place is pretty much secured. I'll be glad to see the back of Sheff Utd - that's the third season in a row they've beaten us at home...
Preston have been relegated. Scunthorpe and Sheff Utd are all but down.
Leyton Orient still in with a chance of a play-off place.

Tranmere completely safe now after thrashing Exeter. But my Leeds work colleagues are in deep dismay, getting beaten by Palace (whom my son still supports, as he was born north Croydon).

Middlesbrough won 2-1 at home to Coventry. I'd agree with Barry about next season. Please.
We've got Cardiff away next before our final home match (against Donny).
Blades have just won 2 matches in a row. Shame for their fans that they've left it so late.

Well, Blades and Scunthorpe are down. The Blades get to be reunited with the Owls next season though...
QPR are champions at the moment, though it sound like the FA will make the final decision on that. Norwich, Cardiff, Swansea, Reading and Forest all pretty much guaranteed at least a play off spot. Leeds would have to win their final game by at least 6 goals and have Forest lose in order to take Forests play off spot. Norwich, Cardiff and Swansea all still able to take the second automatic spot.

I can see Sheffield United having a major strop if QPR are docked points. Remember the West Ham incident where they weren't punished for a similar transgression - which meant Sheffield United went down...

It's not the same though... The Hammers would have been relegated if they han't fielded Tevez illegally for the last few games, and Sheffield United went down instead of them - so I can entirely understand them being narked at that as the Hammers should really have gone down. In the case of QPR it has no bearing whatsover on the relegation spots (although it could affect the promotion ones...) so it really doesn't affect Sheffield United's relagation this time.

Well it is double standards. The London teams and the big 4 tend to get treated rather differently to everyone else - especially compared to teams in steel towns.

I wouldn't like to say who's going to go down this season, even now. West Ham and Wolves look most vulnerable, but a win or two can change the complexion of everything...
