Nocturne
Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a soprano saxophone because I like to start a new challenge. Is there someone that has experience with the Collins S-101 (Look here). I know it is fairly cheap for a soprano, but this shop often has good deals without selling junk so it sounds intresting to me. Any ideas about it? And maybe any general tips about soprano's?

Thanks in advance!

I bought myself a soprano sax @ christmas - its really nice. I'm trying to find out if most jazz bands have parts for soprano - I wnat to join my local one in Sept.
Nocturne - about your sop - I would have a look on ebay. Look fro a shop one, with a guarentee!!

Hi jonathan,

Thank you for replying! I've already dicided to play it safe, and go for the Jupiter Standard JP-747 Someone in my music school advised me to get that one. I'm going to a shop to test it in about two weeks. But if you or someone else has any other advise in the meantime it will still be appreciated!

WELL DONE!

You made a great choice going for sax. If you can , I would say to play it safe - its much more reliable.
I now no-one who plays soprano. Its so rare. All my friends think its either weird or a golden clarinet - dipsticks!!

Good luck. tell us what you think!!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
