ARGH im so annoyed....I have been learning one a Chopin Polonaise from the grade 8 alternative syllabus..and thought i was doing ok..

Then i bought a new edition and its so different.

1. There are at least 5 cases of totally different articulation or note changes.

2. The dynamics and playing instructions are totally different in key places....so now ive realised that the piece is so dramatic.

My teacher summed it up perfectly. At the end there is an extremely dramatic climax, and in a very jokey way she said " you havent suffered enough in your life to play this bit" LOL!!!!
