Hello all biggrin.gif

Someone has recommended that I have a look at the Times Education Supplement on a regular basis to keep up to date with things.

Does anyone on this forum read to it and does it include relevant information for music teachers or is it more general?

Is it something that comes inside the Times or do you buy it seperately?

thanks

You buy it seperately.......I think that it comes out on a Friday....or I may be mistaken. Some of the articles aer relevent...but it is intersting anyway to see what is happening in the world of education.

I don't get the Times Ed supplement regularly these days-it comes out every Friday-to be honest I used to get it largely when I was looking for jobs-which you can look up online anyway I discovered; however there are lots of articles that I found really interesting, although not directly music related in the main. I get Music Teacher now , which is a monthly publication you can get on subscription, obviously that's much more relevant.

I'll have a look at it tomorrow and look up this music teacher magazine too. Thanks jpiano and ruthypegs!

By the way I read the Independent Education supplement today (thursday) and there was a really interesting article about a disadvantaged inner city school taking part in a newly comissioned opera and doing it on an exchange basis with a school out in Norfolk!
