I'm getting very impatient as I am waiting for theory results for my pupils. I've never entered anyone for theory before and I'm dying to know how they got on.
Does anyone know when they are due out?

I received one yesterday, and am waiting for the other. They are issued in alphabetical order of centre, so it depends where your candidates took their exams. Yesterday's result was Basingstoke, and I'm still waiting for Frimley. I think last year, when I had two candidates at the same two centres, there were 2-3 days in between.

I was told around 6 weeks, I have five pupils this time in for it so I'll be keen to learn the results! Should be soon!

Pity the poor creatures who took their exams in Woking, then! From your description, Andante, they'd have to wait another month!

Well hopefully my pupil's results won't be soon as they did the exams in Chichester!

I found out that's how they issue the results when my first ever theory pupil took her exam in Truro because she was in Cornwall during the half-term week the exam was in. Everyone else round here had had their results for days before she got hers.

*Groan* I bet the London ones don't arrive before I go on my clarinet course (at an unearthly hour on Saturday - well before the post comes). I had loads of candidates doing theory exams this session too!

Bedford arrived today as well!
Daughter took grade 3 & was sure she'd failed - came out really upset. Turns out she only missed a merit by 3 marks! Maybe next time she'll do more than one week's work for it!!!!!!

Just got the Frimley result through.
One of the hazards of teaching one's own child - I'm pleased he passed (71) but more than usually irritated that he got the easiest question on the paper totally wrong (the cadence question). He must have ignored the key signature.
At least I'll have had time to calm down before he gets in from school. I'm sure he'll be annoyed that he didn't get a merit. I'm just thankful he did well enough on all the other questions to still pass comfortably, and for the first time am glad that that question is no longer worth 15 marks.

How have you done Grade 8 keyboard then if you've only just passed Grade 5 theory? Did you do practical muscianship or Grade 5 jazz?

Still waiting for Lowestoft.
As for London College exams, i'm pretty sure you can go up to grade 7 without taking any theory exams (they cover viva voce in the practical exam), but to take grade 8 practical you need grade 5 theory.

Mine arrived today...
Only had 1 entry, an adult student taking grade 2.
She got a well deserved 97

(Tea making skills are also excellent as I am sure the Adult Learners would agree).
