Hi everyone, noticed there's lots of you from the north-west (with regards to adult learners concerts etc)...just wondering of there's anyone from south/south eastern ways that would be interested in doing the same thing? (or do you all migrate up north???).

Hi Frankie,
If you have a look at
this page you will see Jo is organising one for September. Maybe see you there?
Cheers,

Yes, I am - and I shall be doing a big post about it when I've got back from my clarinet course - have been wanting to do one for several days, but I don't want people to get it mixed up with the North-West one, so I'm waiting a while!
If anyone wants any info, PM me, but I may not be able to get computer access while I'm on the course - last year it was pot luck each day as to whether the computers in the main building were working - and I won't be able to send the info till I get back anyway.
I've got to get to Euston tomorrow morning in time for my train at 8am - fingers crossed that the tube lines I need will be working after all the trouble there's been! I've done just all about my packing, and am really looking forward to the course!

Don't forget there will be another Adult Learner's Concert next February in Chertsey. I'm just trying to get the day and hall sorted and then I'll be posting about it.
Cheers

I play organ and piano mainly. And I sing a bit - choral stuff.
Actually I teach organ and piano - so I've no business on this board really !!

Of course you should be on "adult learners" - I understand that you NEVER stop learning especially music, therefore every-one is an "adult learner".

I'm in deepest darkest suburban Surrey.
There was a get-together thread a while ago, and I suggested that us Southerners might all get together to do music at some point. I had one response (andante_in_c, I've not forgotten you!), anyone else is still welcome to PM me if they're interested.
And don't forget Jo's concert in September - only 12 days until the closing date. I really must decide what I'm playing

Well that is true, and I do regard myself as a life-long student (you might guess that from my signature).
Anyway thanks for that! Didn't want to feel I was posting under false pretences.

I am from the Oxford area. A small toen close to it. I am very new to music so will probably not be good enough to play in a concert or not confident enough to play. However I would love to come and liste/watch a concert if only to learn how thing are put together.....
