I found my last wait quite bad: I felt I messed up a lot and the results arrived the day before christmas eve, that's a way to make or break someone's christmas!

Well done!! I was so nervous in my grade 4 exam that I actually hallucinated there was someone in the audience watching me! I just managed to resist the urge to turn and look - so got through the last piece - but - what a nerve wracking time! I so admire anyone taking an exam (I passed grade 4) - so WELL DONE AGAIN!

I was sooooo nervous. Especially going straight from work without touching a piano since the night before.

I think the examiner took pity on me ! Stressed out adult straight from work with 3 kids back home

i had my exam on my birthday once (6th dec)... i soooo didn't want to do it!! and so i was waiting all through christmas... and i got the results just after i think, or early january.

i would sometime crumble but someimte i think i could play quite well( at least no sudden change of tempo or notes mistake and wif dynamics)but sometime i do get messed up, wif all the problems i listed earlier.and at here, u cant rent the exam piano to practise on.what i could do is to stay at the examination waiting room to get myself used to the environment.

Allie and I both did A1 B1 and C2

Try not to worry too much. The examiner knows when candidates are nervous.
It doesn't matter about the mistakes, just keep the pulse and work through it.

I lost the LH for a bar and half but kept the right hand going then brought my LH back in again.

The examiner noted this in my report but he still gave me 24/30. Not as devastating as I first thought as I left the exam room !

The overall performance gives the examiner an insight how you normally perform and able to see through the nerves.
And don't forget, they want you to pass. They are on your side.

As for renting the exam piano, I've never heard of that

oh it seems that there r many ppl doing the same pieces as i do.i thought in hong kong or somewhere there is the posibility of renting the exam room(with the piano) to practise on.anyway, i'll try my best.thanks for the advice.
