I might be wrong here (is it special for harpsichords?) but I thought you could only do diplomas in December/January or June/July. How come yours is next month? I'm doing mine on the same day as one of my AS Level exams and I'm leaving on a school trip the same evening (28th June), and I would much rather do it sooner than on that day (can't do it later cos I'm away)

agnescyy,
Could you share your experience about your exam.? Did the examiner give you comments on why you cannot pass the exam.
I will take DipABRSM in November. Hope someone can share experience with me. Thanks.

I am going to be doing my DipAB exam in July and I am terrified as I feel that i will never reach the required level of understanding. I am a soprano and feel rather inadequate at the moment! Any advice form other singers who have taken the dipAB would be gratefully received as I don't know anyone else who has done the exam and would love some moral support!! Lou.

Please could you share your experience of the DipABRSM exam? Were you suprised by your result?
I have my DipABRSM in July and am getting quite worried now. What kind of standard do they expect? I have heard that if you play all your pieces perfectly you may JUST get a pass!!
Is the standard really that high?

Lou...
I too am a soprano hoping to take my DipABRSM at christmas. I dont think you should feel inadequate, i think you should just rest assured that there's very few of us singers who are able to get to a high enough standard to even want to take these things. I've just turned 17 and i only know one person who's comtemplating taking us. Singers rule onwards!
