WOW just heard your performance of this spectular piece (1 that my teacher has asked me to try and learn ph34r.gif ) and WOW its just inspirational!!!
SteveHopwood
That is quite fantastically kind of you. Thank you. There are no blushing smilies, so I shall make up my own

When you have learned it yourself, you will be able to go back and spot all the bloopers I dropped tongue.gif - the recording is from a live performance, so editing was not an option sad.gif .

If you click on the name "SteveHopwood" on the right of the post above yours, you go through to a rather nice webpage with some interesting info about teaching, and some links to "hear Steven play" which leads on to a choice of several pieces. I'm not a pianist but I too enjoyed them very much.

Interestingly the post title "Stevehopwood's playing" gave away nothing of whether the review was going to be rave or ranting so I had to hurry in here quickly to find out (although a ranting review would of course have said more about the poster than the pianist).

oops! I see I'm 4 minutes behind neil.clarinet and etude in gold!

Computer programming is the only hobby I have, so designing my own website was the logical next step.

For those of you with better things to do with your time that become computer geeks, visit Practiespot.com where you can get a site up and running in a few minutes. Don't thank me for this, but Margaret and ChocolateDog for discovering the facility.

Hey, I didn't know you had a website until today - not that I'd looked smile.gif

Very much enjoyed the first bit of that Mozart in C I've been playing with - shame you didn't put all of it on, I'd like to hear it all given my email won't let you send it!

I've been battling with a desperate urge to play the semiquaver-triplet bit too slow - even though I know how fast it's meant to go!! Why?!!

Thanks for asking, Semele. The pregnancy is going fine. For those of you going 'Eh?', it goes back to a much earlier post.

Indeed, with a little trickery it can be done.

Newbie Aintree.

Quite near me.I drive to end of M58 and hop on the train (every 15 mins....so no hanging around ) and get off at Moorfields or Liverpoolcentral.

EtudeInGold...did you know he committed suicide at the Adelphi??? Pretty sure he did it...Happy Valley 1941.... cool.gif But that is what happens if you dabble on snooker tables with married women.

But don't take the film too literally.Cyril Connolly was a respected journalist and Fox wrote the book...

Try doing a word search on "pregnant"....All forums.

Like Steve said it was a while back.

Just to explain my earlier posting,I was referring to a film called White Mischief...the book is much better though. It's based on a true unsolved murder case in the 1940's. Having read the book and there was an article in The Times mag years ago,it's pretty obvious the husband did it. The wife went on to marry the character John Hurt played.....I think he was the richest man in Happy Valley... and Diana Broughton was not a nice lady.

Google is great...just found this: http://www.suntimes.co.za/1998/08/09/lifestyle/life02.htm
