I found a really good game. called "wizard" from canada. Anybody heard of it?
Basically you have to predict the number of tricks you will make. On turn 1 each player has 1 card, turn 2 each player has 2 cards, turn 3 is 3 cards each and so on. It goes on for 20 turns. really fun game!

My favourite card game? Hmmm....it has to be snap because it's the only one I know all the rules of lol. Or em what's it called...the one where you have lots of bombs, like 3 A'S or 4 8's or something random like that. I get generally confused by cards though!!!!!!!!

What's Old Maid? I have never heard of it before. Anyone care to explain?

You have three queens (not including QC) and you got to make sure you don't end up with the last queen (the old maid). Deal out the remaining 51 cards (one player will have an extra card) and lay out the remaining cards on the table. Then, you have to hold your cards out in a fan and your opponent picks a card from your fan. He finds that he should have a pair, which he lays on the table. Do the same for the other player, and so on, until one card is left, which should be the Old Maid. The other player wins.
Edit: The part in bold is meant to say: If you have any pairs, lay them out on the table.

Every family should play crib, so that the children have an incentive to learn mental arithmetic. Contract bridge is interesting once you get into it, though it is a bit tricky to play totally fairly, because of all the ethics and conventions. Skat is a game that I would love to try, but I can't tell you much about it. I was a member of a bridge four at college. Skat is for three and is what bridge enthusiasts play when one of the four is absent. Unfortunately I was usually the absent one, because I was playing my horn in a concert somewhere, so I never found out how to play skat.

Uno is based on another card game isn't it. I think they call it pick-up?
Anyways, my favourite game? SNAP or for a less hectic game umm.... make 21 I guess.
I know, I'm a very boring person sometimes and can never remember rules.

On my tour, when having free time, we often played a game called "Spoons" which is apparently the same as "Pig"
You first have a pile of items (e.g spoons) in the middle, one less than the total number of people.
You start off with 4 cards and your aim is to get 4 of the same card - e.g 4 Kings.
You pass your cards round the circle of people, and when someone has 4, everyone tries to grab an object from the middle. The last person is out.

Chase the Ace is great fun. At college at lunch times a group of friends and I used to play it (about 6 of us) then of the teachers took the cards off us because they thought we were gambling.

Anyone heard of Chinese Snap?
Basically, all the cards are dealt out to the people playing. Then, the first person puts down their first card and says 2. Then the second player puts down their card and says 3. Then the third player puts down their card and says 4. It carries on going like this until you get to "king" where you go back to "ace" and start again. If the card you put down matches the number that you say, then everyone has to snap. The last person to snap has to pick up all the cards and the game starts again. The loser is the person who ends up with all the cards. (This person has to say 2,3,4,5 etc until his card matches what he said and then everyone has to snap again - the game can go on for hours!!)
I hope this makes sense; if not, I like Chase the Ace and Uno!
