Congratulations

. Are you off to University this year? I haven't heard you mention where you're going.
with the exception of chinese...they are all AS grades....i still have another year to go.....i am hoping to get in the joint course offered by manchester and RNCM...wish me luck....
by the way, is it possilbe for one to appeal a particular module for a certain subject...because one of the history mark is absolutely ridicolus... here is the break down...
Document study: 110/120
English history: 87/90
European history: 56/90 (that is weird!!!!)

If that's AQA, we always found that the European history was always waaaay harder than the British history.
You can ask for it remarked, but there's not much point unles your close to the boundary. As it's 2 marks above the C boundary, it's unlikely that it will hit 63 and get a B if you ask for a remark.

My brother got his AS results today. He's been ill and didn't manage study nearly enough for the exams. In Psychology he got a U, but in Sociology he managed a C, despite quoting a non-existent Chinese philosopher to support his points because he didn't know any real ones.

I need some advice: for GCSE results day I have been asked to appear in the local paper and I'd have my picture taken and my results printed. I'd go in at 8, and then ring home my results. But I don't know whether I should do it, I can't decide!

Wooo! Thats a difficult one! Sounds like you've done really well - its not likely they'd ask someone who got 10 U grades to appear in the paper. Why not go for it? Hope you had a good holiday Nicki!

It is based on "monitoring grades", not my actual GCSE results. The school doesn't know those until 24th. If it was based on my GCSE grades I'd go for it, but as it isn't, I am not sure. Holiday was brilliant, thanks.

The grades you were getting throughout the year, and I can only presume your predicted grades.

This is what I tried to say Nic...

I think you're just worrying. As noodle said, they wouldn't pick someone that's not going to pass anything. They (And we) know that you will do very well!!!

You've got the whole day to do that! Most of the other pupils won't get in until later anyway and you are going in early to do the paper stuff. You will have got amazing results and might as well do it. You'll have plenty of time to speak to teachers after the photo's!

Well as the photo is at 8am I don't think any teachers would be around. However, I have decided to do it, and then come back at 11.30 to see my friends and teachers.

I'll PM you, but I am not putting it on the forums! It isn't a big newspaper like the Daily Mail but a local county one.
