It's quite handy a Dunelm degree - in my case, earn 7 letters, get 6 free wink.gif
andante_in_c
I've only got 15 letters in my full name (or 18 if you add the Mrs), so I've still got more afterwards, tee hee. biggrin.gif

*laughs*, you guys are funny!

I have *thinks* way too tired... THIS many letters (LOL) BA (hons) (Russian) Dunelm! (so far, anyway...) Don't think I've used them EVER though... don't even know how you're supposed to write it out... and I think you all definitely beat me, so good for you laugh.gif rolleyes.gif

I think, as a fellow alumnus, that one would only write B.A. (Hons) (Dunelm).

I've only ever been addressed with my full complement of letters once by my piano teacher when sending me a congratulations card for my Dip laugh.gif

laugh.gif OK I'll know for future reference!

Sarah B.A. (Hons) (Dunelm) wink.gif

edit: I have 26 letters in my name, not including title or spaces, so I think it'd take quite a while to outbalance that with letters after it...

There aren't enough spaces for all mine to appear in the 'entered by' line of ABRSM certificates, so I end up having to leave some out, abbreviate them and put an initial instead of my first mane.

I always remember the vice chancellor of Durham having a good set of letters:

PROFESSOR SIR KENNETH CALMAN, KCB
BSc, MD, PhD, HonMD (Nottingham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Birmingham), HonDUniv. (Stirling, Open, Paisley), HonDSc (Strathclyde, Westminster, Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian, Brighton), FRCS (Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Ireland), FRCP (Edinburgh, London), FFPHM, FRCPath, FRCR, FRCGP, FFPharmMed, FFOM, FRCOG, FMalAcadSci, HonFRSocMed, FRCOphthal, FAcadMed, FRSE

Crikey, that's a long name wink.gif. I have 15 in my name (or 19 if you count the miss, what a good long title wink.gif) and then 13 after it; not bad actually considering that's just one degree; Durham is definitely good value for letters laugh.gif.

Our Headteacher has a sriously long name but i cant seem to find it anywhere..... *runs off to find letter with the full name on it*

Ours used to have BSc MA; invariably changed to BSe MAD by passing students though...

Having seen what I assume is your surname on Flutenet, you must have an amazingly long middle name. Or are you like the Royal family, with four Christian names?

One can only feel sorry for the poor deputy head at my high school who had a Dip. Ed. laugh.gif.

13 after? nice one! lol... yes, Durham has a "bogof" for collections of letters after your name...

Actually I think I miscounted slightly! But yes, you do indeed know my full name - my middle names are Caroline Ellen, so it's having two and that 8 letter one that does it I think!

I've done only grade 5. My next piano exam would be ATCL (if i ever get to reach that standard), probably in many years time. After i get my diploma in the violin. I find it very costly taking so many exams in between my progression from a beginner to an advanced musician.

What, no grade 8 first? blink.gif

No, i hate having to memorise so many scales and arppegios for grade 8. There is no need to play scales for diploma exams. Yay!!

That's true, but they are also a damned sight harder; I was just surprised that you were planning to skip from grade 5 to ATCL.
geigespieler
Of course, i must still go through the process of learning the piano step by step despite skipping grades. I'll make sure that i reach that standard before i sign up for the exam. I'll just do mock exams for every grade and ask my teacher to be the mock examiner. In this way, i can save a lot of money.

Haven't taken any exams yet..working my way towards Grade 1..hoping to take it this year at some point..... ohmy.gif
