Just wondering... what's a typical lesson like? Is it similar to a piano lesson ? Do you do scales & arpeggios , techniques, pieces ? Is it more difficult than playing instruments ? And would vocal lesson help you improve in your sight-singing ?

Depends on the teacher and the purpose.
If you're doing exams, then it'll cover that material.
Otherwise, it'll involve some sort of warm-up material (any of: breathing/notes/scales/folk/songs/advising on technique), then some sort of substance (any of: piece/voice recovery work/various exam items/tone development/technique stretching etc....
Important to get a teacher who covers what you want, at the standard you want, to achieve your goals.
Singing teachers can also be called Voice Coach, Voice teacher, Vocal lessons, and a few other related titles too, for specialisms.
Hope that gives some idea.

i denfiantly ( i know that that is spelled wrong but get off my back) agree that it depends on the teacher- at my voice lessons we warm up- then do some theory and technique songs- then she works with me to improve any arias. art songs, or competition songs that i might be working on- they help me so much- if you're thinking about starting i defiantly think you should
