Have just wandered in here from the Woodwind forum with a bit of an odd question, sorry!!

In about 1991/1992/1993, there was a Grade 6 violin piece called "Orientale" by Cui. I would absolutely LOVE to get hold of the exact arrangement of this as it appeared in the Grade 6 violin pieces book - it may well have been on the syllabus in other years too. Basically, it starts off with a few bars of the violinist alternately plucking a chord with the right hand then playing a few staccato notes with the bow.

Does anyone recognise this please? If so, any idea where I can get hold of the sheet music for this arrangement?

I DO recognise this piece. I will have a rummage in my brain to see if I remember why - unfortunately I DON'T think I have the music... have seen it played though I'm certain, might be able to find someone who does have it.
