I just passed gr 4 exam but i like more advanced stuff (mozart's 3rd fantasy is infront of me right now) i compose and have won 3 first places in kiwanis music festival i write more on sibelius, but usually i can't play them because of the difficulty i want to learn beethovens 23rd sonata and the rest of mozarts sonata in c minor (i already have the first 2 pages) and my greatest accoplishment is toccata and fugue in d Minor by J.S bach it took me 6 months to get the toccata and now i'm starting the fugue that's just a bit of info about me cuz i'm new

C ya there! smile.gif

School year 9 maybe ??
Here in NZ that is sometimes called form 3 and is the first year of high school
(secondary school) Primary school yr 1 - 6 ( 5yrs-11yrs), Intermediate school yr 7 + 8 ( 10 / 11- 12 yrs) Secondary school Yr 9 - 13 ( usually 13yr- 17yrs)
Some people go to 3 different schools, other schools have either both the primary + intermediate parts or intermediate + secondary. A few private ( fee paying ) schools go right through.

Your absolutely right, there is only a diploma, no grade 9.

Kenshi kid, wow, you have some talent. Good luck with learning your peices.

Are the A.B starting a new grade (9) that includes karate?
The Nakawashi Sonata by Takemitsu is quite good except too many pianos get demolished. I'm told Beethoven started the craze for breaking instruments followed by Pete Townsend, Ted Nugent and others. Go for it! Focus just beyond the punch.
