Voting / nominations are now open for the MOST USEFUL POSTER Category. PM me with your nominations now.
As before, you may PM me with up to 5 choices of the person/people whom you think are the one(s) who post the most useful items in this forum. Then I will compile the votes and post the top 5 people in a poll for you to vote for on the 21ST of August, 12 midnight (BST).
Voting by PM closes on the same time and day as mentioned above, and the nominations for the next category opens then.
Hope this makes sense to you!
Hurry and vote NOW!
Cheers,
Violin-Ann

Can you just vote for yourself on all of them. Even if like Best Limerick: Noodelz. Even if I didn't do a limerick?
P.S. I did do a limerick so vote for me and you will go to the land of milk and honey.
I promise.
No really, there is such thing.

Good question actually, are you allowed to vote for yourself?
Car Expert
Aug 15 2005, 03:09 PM
It doesn't really make sense to vote for yourself, but we'll see what violin-ann thinks!

Yes, I let you off that time, but your vote wouldn't have affected the top 5 anyway.

Well Car Expert said my vote doesn't count (I forgot that the 5th thread I put in was one started by myself) so I guess voting for yourself doesn't count. Since it won't affect the final result, I think it would be a waste of a vote.

In the poll you're able to vote for yourself without anyone knowing.

Don't worry, one vote in the polls won't affect things much either!
Have you decided yet, Noodelz?

Nope, since people are sort of "anti-voting yourself", I'll have to think about it.

And Nat, well, you could always ask for help and see who gives you useful advice!

With most amusing thread it probably wasn't too bad to vote for your own as it depended on the way it developed.
It could be seen as slightly big headed to vote for yourself as most useful poster though.....

This isn't easy - I've got a short-list of 7 or 8 but I'm not sure I can narrow it down to 5!

That's interesting Maggiemay, quite a few people have only given me ONE name!

You must play a lot of instruments to have so many people helping you!

I still have one question. Is it for all the messageboards on the abrsm forum, or just for Forums cafe?
violin-ann
Aug 17 2005, 05:05 PM
It's for all the messageboards, Nocturne. Anybody or everybody you think gives really good advice or help in any messageboard. I doubt anything posted in the Café itself is of much use!

Oh no you don't have to! Because all the Most Useful Posters don't begin threads. They post when someone starts a thread asking them for help. You can just PM me their names.

That's fine! It's just the people that you think are the most helpful. Well for a lot of others, maybe because they are still learning, so they vote for the ones who've helped them a lot. It's ok either way!

Me included!
