I'd like to know if you can actually take grade5 guitar without any previous grades???
And the same for theory as well...

Ya,why not? I think it is possible for theory. I just take the Grade 5 exam without taking the

previous grade.

Yes I did. I have taken g5 theory and g5 (violin) within a year. It is possible.

Yes u can do it coz i did and passed with 116 and did my theory without having sat any other theory exams and passed with merit! So yeah go for it I did and Im hopin to do ma grade 8 next year!

Actually, there isn't any problem with it at all. However, I think that you should still consider going through the syllabus for the previous grades, especially for theory. It'll help to build a foundation for the upper grades. =)
