Hiya!!
Ive just done my gcse practicals and i did 2 piano solos. I did bachs 'prelude no. 1 in c' from the well tempered clavier and 'polonaise in g minor' (this years abrsm grade 3 piano syllabus) which i managed to gain full marks on both!!! yay!
For my ensemble, im playin a keyboard bass line for an arrangement of 'all that jazz' from chicago, which i have already done for my last school concert, so no new learning needed!
The good thing about the mark scheme is that if you play a grade 3 piece well you can get as many marks as someone who plays a grade 8 piece cos its how you play the piece, not its technical standard.
Its a good idea to use exam pieces for gcse cos u dont have to learn new pieces and cause yourself more stress!!
Anyway good luck!
