Hello - Appassionata here with Saxlover. We are trying to record ourselves however only have a programme that can record 40 seconds worth at a time. Does anyone know of anyone sites where we can download a recording programme free of charge?

Thanks

Won't the Windows sound recorder do at a pinch? You may need to create a longer blank file as 60 seconds recording isn't enough! Once you have one and save it you can use it any time and save-as under the name of your tune.

Setting properties (File dropdown // format conversion // recording formats) to about 20,050kHz 8 bit stereo is quite good but you can set it more hi-fi if you need it. I think you can set it to MP3 if you don't like PCM which is just a way of digitally coding audio without compression.

Have a look here for instructions on how to let Audacity save mp3 files smile.gif
