Have you noticed that there seems to be less printed music on a page?If you play popular music that is quick then you are for ever having to turn over and back again. Some of my older music has 6 to 8 lines of music wheras some recently purchased has only 4 with a huge gap between the 2 hands ( like a beginners book ).
And talking of turning pages its nigh on impossible with the way the book is bound. you either have to manhandle it so strongly that the spine cracks and pages fall out or you have another book placed at both ends to keep it open!!
Please someone else say they have this problem!

Oh yes, someone else certainly does !!

Particularly the unbending spine thing (copy, not mine, yet, thank goodness dry.gif ). One publisher seems to be worse than most of the others, and unfortunately does a useful series, or Iwould n't bother using them!

Yes, the spine thing is a nuisance! At the moment I have two pupils using the Grade 8 anthology (not the green book, the other one) and the page turning is not good because no matter how we bend the book back, after the page is turned at speed it tends to sort of flop down so that the pupil is reading the music on the LH side of the new page at an angle - if you understand what I mean! sad.gif

you made me laugh jo.clarinet!!!
maybe if we all wrote to the publishers en masse they may rethink!!
