Alibonebone!
I notice some ailments have cropped up recently with lots of helpful suggestive replies, so please can you help me:

I do alot of running and it sometimes gives me 'the runs' but it normally passes. Today though it's showing no signs of going and I'm feeling really sick too, any suggestions?
elmo
Diralyte or however you spell it!
YetAnotherPianist
Take two Imodium and drink plenty of fluids. Perhaps you're a little low on salt too (rare these days but running in hot weather can cause it).
elmo
oooh no, if you're saying immodium then that's right! I can never remember which way round they go! Dyralite will keep you running!

Diarolyte ? dyarolite - darn I can't remember either. Any way it's for rehydration and is good to stop you getting further dehydrated.

Imodium is good as YAP suggested, or kaolin - ask your pharmacist.

Btw I don't know how old you are - do check with a parent if necessary - sorry if that's irrelevant!!

Ha!, I'm glad we sorted that one out quick elmo!

Thanks YetAnotherPianist, I've found some immodium, lets see if they do the trick!

I'd leave the imodium for now if you're still feeling sick, sounds like maybe you have a stomach bug rather than just some loose bowel movements after running. Best to flush it from your system rather than "keep it in" after taking imodium! Diarolyte definitely a good idea though, and REST until you are feeling better!! (advice from a registered nurse!!!)

ooh so I was right with the dyralite?!

I agree. Such things happen because something's wrong inside and our bodies are trying to deal with it. At least take plenty of water. Erasing the symptoms doesn't solve the problem. If it's happened before might be time to see the doc. Maybe just a dietary thing. Hope so.

That would be telling wink.gif

OK, Google image search for 'toilet', size set to small, found it. Get its address (right-click, copy image location or similar), click 'IMG' and paste it into the box that pops up.

Must have taken you a long time! I just tried it and came up with 25 or so pages to trawl through - gave up after a few!!!!!!

Dyralite will keep you running!

I don't think it will actually- when I got a nasty bug in June I took that AND immodium- I think dioralyte (yes, I think that's the right spelling now)(fifth attempt) stops you getting dehydrated and immodium... well, that solves the inital problem *hem*
