I tried fishing, I've been doing it for about a year and caught nothing. Eventually I gave up and because I had to pay a license thingy.

Are you keen? It's FISHING WEEK this very week. All sorts of activities for beginners about fishing all over the country. Er, I mean, UK. For example, on Sept 3 in Ongar, there's a family fishing day with free tuition and licences! We are going. Hurray! Haven't been for over 30 years...*memories*
