Hello. On the weeping willow by scott jopin, i am not sure whether to play the #E in bar 10, as a sharp or a natural/normal/just an E.

U can find this version of weeping willow on rudolph's music.
The #E im on about is in the 10th bar and looks likes this:

#F #F
D #E D
/_____/

it is written as an #E but i think it sounds better as an E.
please help,. and thanks.

I've just checked on a copy of it, and it's E# on that, so i guess it's not an error in your sheet music; it's supposed to be that way.

Sometimes things like this sound a lot better in context though, i.e. when you are playing the whole piece/phrase and not just that particular bar. I found that when I was having a look at The Cascades, there was an E that I was sure should be a D, but when played not isolated fom the rest of the piece, it sounded much better how it was written. Shame that my playing ruined the rest of the piece! laugh.gif

Good luck learning it smile.gif
