One of my kids is doing a LOTR book and a Harry Potter book on flute at the minute - for the 'fun non technical' part of the lesson - I just bumped him up to grade 2 and he's managing them quite well - he's thirteen though so his technique is far ahead of the tone smile.gif

I haven't played the third one, but I've played the second one on flute. I haven't done any exams, but I could play not too long after I started flute. There's only one bi in the book that's too hard where it's something like F#3,E3,F#3,G3 nd it's too fiddley!

I have played the CD parts for 1 + 2, and the orchestral part for 1 on my clarinet. The CD ones are about grade 2/3, but the orchestral part (exactly the same as used in the film) is at least grade 6/7 I think for clarinet.

I've got the flute book for the second Harry Potter film, but it got shoved to the back of the pile of music when I was preparing for my exam.... but now I'm playing it as fun stuff!
