Hi, just my curiosity

Do anyone know the highest and lowest mark attained in any ABRSM diploma exams from 2000?

Someone told me a candidate got 55 (out of 60 in recital) in DipABRSM performance. But the total in his/her exam is around 75.

I've also heard cases which a LRSM candidate who got 80+ and another got 12 in total.

I got 78% in my Dip ABRSM (Teaching) in clarinet last summer. laugh.gif

The person who got 55/60 in the recital and 75/100 overall must have failed the exam, since the passing mark for viva and Q.study are 10/25 and 6/10 respectively.

Well done for appassionata

I wonder why this candidate should fail his/her exam.

S/he got 55 in the recital
12 in the viva
8 in the Q.study.

The total is then 75. I don't see y s/he MUST have failed the exam.

55 out of 60 is extremely impressive, and asagohen's maths is correct - s/he did pass tongue.gif the viva mark isn't great but very strong in both other areas.

that's a great mark appassionata smile.gif are you doing LRSM as well?

Er... no! Not yet anyway. laugh.gif

I think I've just gone and failed the performance one, so will have to retake that first. Maybe then I'll consider the LRSM in teaching. rolleyes.gif

Sorry I did my math wrong ... biggrin.gif

But 8/15 on Q.study isn't particularly strong, or is it? ohmy.gif

Apparently Jacqueline du Pre's mum (Iris du Pre, nee Greep) did the LRAM when she was 17 and passed "with flying colours"

Hi,

Thanks for everyones' replies.

I knew someone got 95% in his LRSM exam (1930).

But are there any people who got 90% in syllabus 2000 and onwards?
