Just went to a symphony orchestra concert yesterday, when i was getting board during a lengthy symphony performance. I began looking at the various shades of the string instruments that the musicians are using. It's rather interesting to see most string instruments that the professionals in that orchestra use are either dark brown or orange in shade. With one or two red and amber coloured violins and double bass.

i prefer dark red cellos light violas and orange violins (they remind me of a stradivarious i saw at a museum once)

I prefare brownish-red coloured violins because i fing orange ones and darkish ones not dark enough for my taste!
