This is a repeat of an offer I posted a few months back. You 'A' level (and perhaps GCSE) music students might find it useful.

Early on in my stint teaching 'A' level music, I wrote a 23 page, bullet point music history summary for my students. This is a useful, at-a-glance background provider. To this, I added a tabular musical period summary - leading composers, most popular genres, main features of harmony, texture - stuff like that is ever so handy when doing listening exercises, in particular.

These are Word documents, but I also have a nifty piece of software that will turn them into Acrobat .pdf files for those without Word.

I will send copies of the docs to anyone who pm's me with an email address.

It's this weakness I have for names. I am capable of looking at a student I have been teaching for 6 years and think to myself, "What's your name?"

I even thought Bob the cake-eating Penguin was Brian the Penguin cake-eating earlier today.

Um...um..um...oh yes Steve biggrin.gif

My grandfather still gets mine and my brother's names the wrong way round and we couldn't look more different.

At least you still get called by a male name! I get called Iain, Peter, Andrew and Philip before my grandma starts listing the female names! And then she calls me Beryl, which is my great auntie's name who is in her mid 80s! laugh.gif

Nicki - if you're having problems with the Anti-Spam feature you could try turning it off for now. Look in the system tray for the Norton Internet Security/Antivirus icon. Double-click it, and the configuration window will open. Go to the Anti-Spam tab (to the left of the window), and you should be able to turn off the Anti-Spam features there.
