Hi,
I thought it might be interesting to see what personality types we all are.
Here's a website where you can take the test

http://www.advisorteam.com/temperament_sor...er.asp?partid=1

and heres a website with information about the various pesonality types and descriptions of them.

http://www.personalitypage.com/info.html

Im an INFJ
Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging
Quietly forceful, original, and sensitive. Tend to stick to things until they are done. Extremely intuitive about people, and concerned for their feelings. Well-developed value systems which they strictly adhere to. Well-respected for their perserverence in doing the right thing. Likely to be individualistic, rather than leading or following.

I did the 1st link, and I am an Artisian.

What do I do now?
Helen
It just said I'm an artisan. What next?
chopet
did it give the letter names of your personality type? thought it would, i could look up another somewhere If it did though, find them in the poll and clock that eg, if it said youre an ISTJ you choose that option in the poll
saxlover
It gave me 4

The last 4 in the poll
Wobby
Hmm... very similar to that BBC one a while ago. Have you seen it yet? I think I did a thread with a link to it, as well as an art/personality test too... will try that test that you suggested to see if I come up with the same results...

The Four types of Idealists are:

Healers (INFP) | Counselors (INFJ) | Champions (ENFP) | Teachers (ENFJ)

*wonders which one to choose*

:/
Wobby
I am an ISTP (hey, the first link told me I was ISTJ!!! mad.gif):
very expressed introvert 89
slightly expressed sensing personality 12
moderately expressed thinking personality 50
slightly expressed perceiving personality 11

Where did you find the description by the way?

Wobby
Which one do I vote for? ISTJ or ISTP? (First link or Second)

click the second link in my first post.go to overview of the sixteen personality types.scroll down to where it says ISTP.it gives a description of it and underneath it should say click here for a detailed description of ISTP and theres a link to a detailed description of it
Wobby
Ah, ok, ISTP - only thing wrong is that I'm terrible at sports! biggrin.gif However, it is very close to the BBC personality test result as 'Resolver'.

ISTP - Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-takers who they live for the moment. Usually interested in and talented at extreme sports. Uncomplicated in their desires. Loyal to their peers and to their internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, they excel at finding solutions to practical problems.

I'm very weak minded apparently. Not true I think.

On the other one I'm a gaurdian.

I'm an ESFJ on one and a ESTJ on the other! Weird. Clearly I go with thoughts/feelings randomly! Either way I'm a guardian biggrin.gif
Trebor
The first test said I was a Guardian and the second narrowed it down to ISTJ, which is an Inspector. Which seems pretty accurate.
Alibonebone!
I'm an ENFP
zauberfagott
I'm an INFP, just like Calvin (as in Hobbes)

"Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people."

"When it comes to the mundane details of life maintenance, INFPs are typically completely unaware of such things. They might go for long periods without noticing a stain on the carpet, but carefully and meticulously brush a speck of dust off of their project booklet."

Eheheh. That's sooooooo me!

Apparently that's me too.

I did this back in March this year. Very interesting and my husband now understands some of the reasons why he finds me so odd ... ! cool.gif

I think it was a different web-site but based on the same information.

Hi Maggie, welcome back!

I did the proper Myers-Briggs test as part of my OU psychology degree, and came out as an ENFP (just P - I've been J on other tests). I understand, but get annoyed by, extreme examples of both Js and Ps. One wants me to have done it yesterday, the other thinks that the day after it's due will be soon enough. Me? I get it done at the very last minute, but it's there on time. I always used to put my OU assignments in the post box minutes before the last collection on the day before they were due. biggrin.gif

Thankyou Andante!
That was it - Myers-Briggs. My brain isn't yet quite in gear, late arrival yesterday!

My husband studied MB as part of a course he's doing.

I'm much the same with assignments. I loved a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon I saw years ago, where they were discussing the elements necessary for producing something creative.

Mmm. conditions have to be just right, ideas flowing, etc. But the most necessary thing?

Last minute panic!
