Can anyone tell me what is the difference between 'fast reply' and 'addreply'? I find that 'addreply' goes up immediately anyway.
Helen
'Fast reply' adds a box at the bottom of the screen, with none of the formatting things, like bold, italic, underline, different sizes, fonts, colours, smilies etc.

'Reply' takes you to a new screen with all the formatting tools.

"Fast Reply" actually means that the rest of the board members have to read the new post really quickly when it appears in a thread, otherwise they get moderated for breach of forum etiquette...

One difference is I think that you don't get offered all the editing options with the fast reply, like bold, underline etc. Also the smileys don't automatically appear - you can get them up if you need them but they're not there to start with.

I always find fast reply to be slower because however good my intentions, I always seem to need to bring up the smiley window. smile.gif
