hi as a brass play myself i'm just wondering how many brass players are on the forums.

lol agree hornplayer! i am a brass player, but not primarily. i do spend an unusual amount of time at the pub though smile.gif

Perhaps this should have been posted on the forum cafe, more people would see it!

Hi All

I'm most certainly a brass player, and have been for nearly 31 years. I started when I was 11, which most will probably work out - makes me 42...smile.gif

I don't presently play with any band or group, and in recent years have done more conducting than playing.

Several years ago I was tutoring part time both for the local council and privately and put several students through various brass exam grades. I had opportunity recently to play next to one of my students who is now way better than I am. We played at a brass band event organised by www.themouthpiece.com - another vibrant brass discussion community forum.

I am not sure if I am going to do more playing any time soon, but am happy to pop in here and offer advice and support to anyone who requests it.
