just wondering what kinda of music most trumpeters are playing nowadays.
i prefer jazz as to marching bands and orchestra's and i was just wondering what you all prefer, and whether you as me feel the trumpet has found it's home in more modern styles like jazz and latin?

I love playing orchestra style pieces, classical and real "trumpety" sounding pieces. I also like playin jazzy pieces too.

I like playing both thats why i'm a member of an orchestra and a jazz band

I'd be interested too see what other trumpeters like.

yeah, i was curious too, see i play all sorts of music. classical and jazz. and wass just wonderimg whether the trumpet fits into modern styles better? as opposed to the marching band classical stuff.

I like playing a lot of types music, but the ones that I actualy enjoy most are lively marching brass band pieces.

I love playing brass band music, and sometimes orchestral music as long as I have a good part. I think brass band music sounds so warm and uplifting
