Could anyone recommend any duets for flute and clarinet that sound impressive but really aren't too hard? It's for a competition, but we didnt really want anything too heavy! About Grade 6-ish i think!
Thanks! smile.gif

Have a look at Three Duos for Flute & Clarinet by Georg Friedrich Fuchs Opus 19. Jolly nice - I particularly like the third - and published by Amadeus BP368. About £12 I think but music is an INVESTMENT FOR LIFE!! Good luck.

There's also the Himie Voxman 78 Duets, which comes in two books and has a wide range of difficulty, may be worth looking at in a music shop? Published by Rubank.

Go to www.justflutes.com and click on "flute and clarinet", it's listed thus:

Thanks for all your suggestions smile.gif

I've checked websites but I see no point in buying something you don't know is good!

Can you not make a note of the names etc of the books and see if your local music shop has them?
