Hi all! I am a newbie so please be patient with me if I am posting this in the wrong place.

I am a programmer... I want to learn the keyboard/piano and play in bands.
I am a serious musician and I want to get into the music industry. I am only too well aware of my live performance failings and would do anything to correct them.

The only Edinburgh college I know of that teaches modern musicianship at industry standard level is Jewel and Esk Valley at Milton Road but they have no piano/keyboard course for there Modern Musicianship.

...They do however have Modern Musicianship courses in Bass, Guitar, Vocals and Drums. I do not think it's fair that I am excluded on the grounds of my chosen instrument. Is the keyboard/synthesizer not a valid modern musicianship instrument? Why does no such course exist at this college?

Is anyone aware of any other Edinburgh college that has an industry oriented course which does cater for my chosen instrument?

Your help on this matter would be most appreciated.
Helen
Have a look at the UCAS website, you should find course info and other colleges on there. www.ucas.ac.uk
