Hey just wondering whether anyone uses one on a regular basis or sees them as a bit of a novelty! I bought a clarinet one at a very reduced price of £35 (normally about £90 I think!) from my music shop last year. It's a Vandoren A2 and makes a brilliant noise but takes a lot of puff to get anyhing above top C out! It managed to sort my problem of biting the mouthpiece somehow though, I used to go through loads of mouthpiece strips using a normal mouthpiece but because of the extra hard surface of the A2 its stopped me from using so much pressure with my teeth! I think its probably impossible to get teethmarks in a crystal mouthpiece hehe! Anyone else got one, or seen someone use one?
