Sorry about this bombardment of bassoon questions at this momnet in time.....
Anyway...

Currently, I have a hard case for my bassoon and it has been suggested by my bassoon teacher to get a slightly smaller and lighter gig bag for when travelling on teh bus (the bus drivers hate me and my bassoon). I have been researching a couple of gig bags and the one that has stood out the most is the Howarth Tube case. Has anyone got this case? Is it recommended? and Would a Schriber 5016 fit inside it?

thanks

Why not give Howarth a call and ask. I'm pretty certain that they would make a gig bag that would fit any bassoon, (excepting mini-bassoon or tenoroon perhaps).

ooooo Mousey, that reminds me a couple of people had that case at NSGSO and I think one had the same bassoon as you. The case looks really cool as the bassooon fits in soooo snugly. I think Charlie has that case or one very similar, so if you still have her added on msn then you could ask her about it.
