I've bin playin the clarinet for 6 years now and Ive always been told not to do vibrato and Ive always wondered why? Can someone tell me?

Ive never been told to use vibrato but ive never been told not to either, maybe they wanted u to focus on improving other skills first?

ive never been told either way either!!!! ill ask my teacher what she thinks!!

What actually is it? I suppose I should know as I am doing grade 5 theory in the Autumn, but I don't!

How exactly do you do vibrato on the clarinet? Ive been told to use my diaphram and apparently i should be able to feel it!
