i have so much coursework at the moment sad.gif (any y11s out there will know what i'm talking about) that i just don't have enough time.
All my music is getting really neglected, especially since i'm not working towards an exam or anything.

Does anyone have any useful suggestions for time management, because i'm starting to feel really guilty, i want to do well at school but i don't want to let all my music go as well!!

Plus if you have any ideas on some good music that i could get started on, to get me motivated, that would be great! (i play violin mostly and piano)

The period you're going through at the moment is the hardest work of the whole year (well, depends how much you revise). I did little piano all through it because the volume of coursework was so hard. But after Christmas it should slacken off quite a bit. So I'd suggest just keeping skills ticking over for a couple of months as you're not training for anything specific. Maybe play more "fun" pieces or work on sight reading rather than attempting to learn and polish a piece which can be hard to fit in. And then hopefully you can go back fresh and enthusiastic when you have more time.

I'm year 11 too and i've found that too (grrrr....) but I'm working towards g8 piano though i've had to put it back until next March as i just dont have enough time right now...

As you're not working towards an exam, I'd play fun stuff too (lol, any excuse to play fun stuff!) and maybe sightreading too as Trebor suggested.

You've not mentioned what kind of classical music/random music you like or what level you're at..though for piano i could always recommend HISAISHI!! (sorry...couldnt resist..) biggrin.gif
