Biography
b. 1942 Mexborough, Yorkshire. Read music at St John’s College, Cambridge. Studied piano with Lamar Crowson. As pianist has performed internationally with singers and instrumentalists. Also active as a conductor and is musical director of the Ionian Singers. Founder and director of Usk Recordings. Output includes music for orchestra and a wide variety of chamber ensembles; works for solo instruments, voice, and a large body of choral music. Teaches composition and performance studies at the Royal College of Music.
