I went to a play at lunchtime. I hardly ever go to theatre events (concerts take precedence) and it was really good. Should go more often!

Got two gorgeous new hens, Rosemalay and Brehenda. They've scared the pants off my other three because they're young and lively. No fisticuffs so far though, which is good.

Love it! I usually call them after members of the chorus, though they do get a bit upset when 'their' hen dies, as they inevitably do. The news girls are named after the ladies I used to run my children's choir with. They're very excited! As am I. Rosemalay is going to lay blue eggs!

I'm happy because I have a NEW!!! clarinet. clarinet.gif

went to Howarths in London today and after trying it out (second time after trying it two weeks ago) decided to buy it with my insurance money.

Still got to borrow my friend's clarinet for band though because I have to let my new one break in.

Anyone know of any clarinet teachers who would teach a grade 7/8 clarinettist with slightly dodgy technique in her twenties. I don't drive so rely heavily on public transport and live in North Essex. I also work retail at so I can't really afford weekly lessons.

A few things......

More or less relearnt the first movement of some Rachmaninoff in a few days. When I was originally introduced to this music many years ago it was really too difficult for me at the time and I took months to learn it.

I keep thinking about changing my car but have not done so because I was not fond of the replacement model. Today I have learnt that the manufacture has announced a different model which looks as though it will be suitable. I will wait to see if the price goes up due to Brexit before taking matters further.

Enjoying the spring-like weather, sadly in office today but garden time tomorrow! For yesterday, as the kitchen is now 99% finished (yay) my new piano was delivered (more yay!). No hiccups (my living room is on the first floor) and I really enjoyed playing it. piano.gif

I am clearing out a drawer full of electrical bits and pieces such as power supplies, cables, ad hoc accessories etc... Stuff getting put away neatly and a lot of items going in the bin. Its very satisfying.

Why did I keep 3 spare ADSL micro filters for the past few years?
