I wonder what targets Fort William set themselves before the new season. Maybe not to concede more than 150 goals this season, perhaps? Well, they've already managed to concede 11 goals in their first game of the season! laugh.png

Well in fact Fort William conceded 245 goals. They conceded 10 or more goals in 10 matches, and finished on -7 points (they were deducted 9 points for fielding an ineligible player) and a goal difference of -224.

I roughly agree with Barrys predictions, but I don't think Palace will be in the bottom three.  Nor do I see Newcastle as high as 6th!

I am somewhat nervous of how Tranmere will do after two promotions. It may depend on how many of their top players they can keep, in particular James Norwood.

England are so frustrating to watch. Another defeat in a semi-final - their usual backward passing was punished in the end. John Stones had a shocker...

Mark Palios ( Tranmere owner, former player and ex Football League Chief executive ) has announced four players are leaving including long standing captain Steve McNulty, and discussion are in hand with other 1st team players regarding terms etc.  Hope we may have news if key players James Norwood and Conor Jennings will stay

England meet Argentina on Friday I believe. Apparently Argentina are at the bottom of our table so I hope England manage to win.

England were not impressive in beating Scotland 2-1, considering many of Scotland team are part-timers, and England are all professionals.

The French girls have just beaten the Norweigians 2-1. the Norwegian goal was actually scored by a French girl who managed to put the ball in her own goal! That brought the score to 1 all and the second French goal was a penalty. I wasn't able to watch the whole match but I enjoyed what I saw.

Orient's loss will now be Charlton's gain. Our top scorer Macauley Bonne is off to The Valley...

Heartbreak for the Scotland women last night as they were knocked out after surrendering a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Argentina after a retaken VAR penalty which was initially saved. England go through with 3 wins out of 3.

The EFL fixtures for the new season have been released. Reading start with Sheff Wed, while Orient's first match after the death of Justin Edinburgh will be against Cheltenham.

Reading will face Charlton and Middlesbrough in consecutive fixtures - firstly on the 31st August and the 14th September either side of the international break, and then again on Easter Monday and the following Saturday.

The draw for the first round of the League Cup will happen later on today - at a Morrisons supermarket...wacko.png Will Reading and Orient get drawn against each other I wonder? We haven't played each other since 2000, which was in the same competition...
