Anyone doing this? Or any theory exam this session?

I swing from being quietly confident to convinced I’ll fail!

Not long to go!

I'm not doing it, but just keep hammering the past papers :) also I found an ABRSM theory app - 'ABRSM Theory Works', might be of benefit to give you a bit of extra practice on the go. Been using it to revise my own theory knowledge lately because it's been a while!

Good luck :)

Shewhodaresgins .....

All the best for your theory exam, have you been doing any past papers ? I found this the best way to prepare.

I'm working toward the G7 theory but not ready to take it yet my next exam is the G6 piano in early Dec and I'm already getting nervous !! Yikes

I've done Theory G5 yesterday, one of the few adults in a hall full of schoolchildren! When I was getting admitted into the hall, the examiners were checking the kids before me, assuming I was a parent. Interesting experience.

haha - same here, SaxStef!  I was the only adult too!  I wish you lots of luck and hope you pass!  Please do let me know how you get on!

Hello Tezes!  Good to hear from you - G7?  Wow!  That's terrific, well done you!

I thought the exam went pretty well (famous last words?) - I am hoping to order the grade 6 books but they're all out of stock (I've just posted in the Teacher's forum) - how strange!  There must be a rush on them!

Which books are out of stock ? Is it the one with the big number on the front ? I usually get mine off eBay, Amazon or direct from wordery, all the best x

Adults doing Grade 5 … My Mum and I both did our Grade 5 as adults together, it was a hilarious experience, we could barely control the giggles. Lots of kids taking the exams of course, and invigilators who must have been at least 150 years old and appeared to spend the time catching up on their afternoon naps. smile.png

ah, I will. thanks, Tezes.  I wrote to ABRSM and they suggested a new book - I think perhaps they've just upgraded the books to a new version.

I have to say, I am not over hopeful about grade 6 theory but I thought I'd give it a whirl!  I am in awe of you managing G7!!
