Hi, I wondered if anyone had a suggestion for an adult tutor book that would take a rusty pianist from around grade 2 level onwards?

Or are all tutors just for beginners?

She is not interested in a jazz slant...

Many thanks.

Piano adventures Adult Classics Book 2 might be suitable. I have a student just finishing it who is now starting grade 2 exam pieces.

Are these original pieces or mainly arrangements, LP?

They are arrangements but they are very good. Very authentic sounding.

Not as such, but it progresses in a logical way.It is actually supplementary repertoire for Adult Piano Adventures All in one piano course book 2. I haven't used it so don't know what sort of material it contains. I think the Carol Barratt Classic Piano course uses Classical pieces but again haven't used it myself.

I like I Used to Play Piano, I think it's published by Alfred. It's a big book that goes from about G1 to 4 with lots of different styles and well known pieces.
