Husband bought me a clip on light. Very thoughtful as I did some accompanying in a candlelit church and couldn't see properly. Had tobusk it for a few bars!

CD of Britten's cello suites.
My best present was a carol composed specially for me by my son in his last cello lesson. Teacher had helped him and written it out clearly for him to play for me. Very lovely thing to do and made me feel more than a little emotional.

An oboe book of pieces and a piano one! The oboe book I can sight-read most pieces all the way through (Winner scores all for oboe - they are grades 1-3 standard so feel quite chuffed at my progress) but need to work on having a nice tone and not sounding like a kazoo.
The piano one is the grade 4 exam pieces but these are too hard at the moment - just got it to see what scales need to work on. Have an upgrade post grade 3 pop piano book but it looks quite a challenge .....
Still - all good fodder!

A water buffalo has horns on - what have you called him?

I found some musical Christmas crackers at the last minute with little handbells in them ... much fun and I'm going to take them with us when we see my sister and her family at new year
