We deserved all we got, and shame on some of the fans who decided to try to get at some of the Shrewsbury supporters sad.png

We won't get passed Villa either.  We've played them too many times this year and Bruce has too much of a handle on how we play.  Also, they have our former Assistant/Caretaker manager, who knows our players extremely well, and that gives them a big tactical advantage.

I hope that Shrewsbury will get through now.  I've never been there, and it might make quite a nice weekend away.

Derby's dream is over. Beaten on the night by a better team.

So Fulham have made their return to the Premier League. Shrewsbury have failed to replace them in the Championship after losing to Rotherham. Hopefully they won't now suffer the Rotherham curse after Orient lost to them in 2014.

This means that the three teams that were relegated from the Championship last season have all got back up at the first attempt.

So the 2018 World Cup has begun, with Saudi Arabia getting a thrashing by the hosts.

I'm going to make a few predictions... let's see how I get on...

Winner: Germany

Semi-finalists: Uruguay, France, Germany, Belgium

Golden Boot: Thomas Muller

Biggest Scoreline: 5-3

England Prediction: Quarter-Finals

I'm not far off agreeing with your predictions, but Brazil can never be ruled out.  I'd think they would be at least a semi finalist in place of France or Belgium

Spain v Portugal turned out to be a good game - thought I was going to get my 5-3 scoreline for a moment, but not quite!

Back to the domestic front, and the League Cup draw has been made - Reading will play Birmingham, who have renamed their ground the 'St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium'...

That was such a crucial late goal for England to beat Tunisia. Gives us a good platform now to get through the group. Pleased for Harry Kane as well getting both goals!

I didn't realise Tunisia are suchy a highly ranked team. Even so we should have won by more. The at least 2 times we should have got a penalty for an off the ball incident for a start. Tunisia got a penalty for something very similar...

England played well. Would have been injustice to not win, a rare thing indeed for England in recent years.
A win against Panama should see England through to the knockouts, which is an improvement on 2014...

Interesting comment from someone on TV this evening - that Harry Kane has the killer instinct (in relation to his taking the excellent opportunity to score the goal) - let's hope it rubs off on the rest of the team. They could all do with a bit of killer instinct in the nicest possible way.

And I'm glad we have a young side (in fact I'm tired of hearing that they're young) - at least they have lots of energy to run about the pitch! I realise they may not have the experience, but it's hard to get experience of being in the England side as they only come together on certain occasions.

Hope they continue to win.

You can never write off Germany! They were a goal down, got a player sent off, looked like they were going to be heading out of the tournament, then they scored the winner in the 95th minute. Incredible!

If they do win it now, that's going to be the defining moment!

Now it's England's turn this afternoon. Surely we can beat Panama and secure our place in the knockout stages...:fingersCrossed:

6 -1 . But they really needed another goal so their goals situation would be better than Belgium in case they draw with them
